What I've been struggling with in 2025
...and the changes I am making the second half of 2025
50% of 2025 is done. wtf.
It feels like yesterday when I flew to Cape Town to make it for the New Years party at our house (it’s not mine, its my best friend’s but I lived there for the summer)
and here I am sitting at a cafe writing this wondering “where did all the time go”
and the only reason I am thinking this way is because I have not been at 100%
I am going to be 100% transparent and authentic and tell you all the places I am lagging as a person/entrepreneur and talk about how I have been trying to overcome it.
I get distracted way too easily (I need to focus on just 1 thing)
I am not consistent enough with my actions day to day (sticking to my daily routine)
I am still having reactive days rather than proactive days (plan ahead)
I’m struggling with dopamine management (reduce cheap dopamine in my life like scrolling)
Not getting enough good sleep (make this a priority, sleep at consistent times)
I am focusing on “noise” not signal (heard this from Kevin O’Leary podcast about prioritizing work, top 3 things)
For me, I know putting that extra effort into being a more organized person and thinking in systems is how I will solve a lot of these problems.
I have 1 way I do something and stick to that one thing.
I manage my day and my calls on my Google Calendar.
I use Notion to track my KPIs, habits and my tasks…and I use the SIMPLE system I have made.
Simpler the better. Always
If there’s friction when you try to do these things, you are less likely to do it…so remove ALL friction!
I’ve paid 10s of thousands of dollars for “systems” to realize that I need to just keep it simple myself and build the overall system while hiring to optimize it.
I hate that not being organized has caused me more problems than the initial effort I needed to put in.
Don’t be like me.
There’s always the easy path or the right path, choose the right path.
Choosing the easy path long enough makes your life hard (another funny paradox of life)
I hope this inspires you to be aware of the places you’re lagging that’s preventing you from being the best you.
Cheers,
